The 11” Fat Eel is designed to be fished slow and deliberate, keeping a massive profile in the strike zone where trophy fish live. Along the bottom, it excels when fished on the back sweep. Lift the rod, then let the bait glide and wiggle naturally as it falls back to the bottom this subtle movement often triggers violent strikes from fish staged low and waiting to ambush.

In the water column, the 11” Fat Eel is just as deadly. It shines as a mid-water presentation for tarpon, where its large silhouette and controlled movement draw attention without the need for much rod input. Slow rolls, steady retrieves, and long pauses with some rod twitches mixed in allows the bait to hover and swim naturally, presenting an easy, high-reward meal that big fish commit to.

The 11” Fat Eel incorporates the same hook slot channel built into the bait that’s found throughout the entire range of lures we make. The hook slot makes rigging absolutely effortless. No more issues having a bait rigged a little off anymore. It also adds an area where scent can be added to the bait if desired. The hook slot allows the hook to be exposed more when a fish eats making the hookup ratio much better by increasing the hook gap between the bait and hook point. Lastly and most importantly it greatly increases the durability and longevity that the lure bodies last. They will not tear as easy as a lure without the slot.
